Technology Certification Level I

This fall, join other Kern County teachers as they increase their skills by using and integrating technology. Based on standards approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, the California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) is providing a series of classes to help teachers meet Level I (Basic Proficiency) certification. There are two days available to pick from.
Day1 Date: October 6 or 7 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.1, 1.5 Word Processing/Desktop Publishing
Day2 Date: October 13 or 14 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 Computer Basics
Day3 Date: October 20 or 21 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 11.10 Electronic Research Skills
Day4 Date: October 27 or 28 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.2, 1.3 E-Mail and Collaboration Tools
Day5 Date: November 3 or 4 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.4, 1.13 Information Literacy
Day6 Date: November 10 or 11 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.12 Record Keeping
Day7 Date: November 17 or 18 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 Word Processing/Desktop Publishing
Day8 Date: December 1 or 2 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: 1.11
Day9 Date: December 8 or 9 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: Make Up Session
Day10 Date: December 15 or 16 Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm Proficiency: Portfolio Sign Off and Party
- To earn a Level I Proficiency certification you must complete a portfolio of work.
- CSUB (3 units @ $45.00 each) or Fresno Pacific University credit is available on completion of all eight sessions (24 hours) plus 6 additional hours for portfolio preparation.
- All classes are held at The Learning Center, 2020 K Street, unless otherwise noted.
- Please notify us if you have not received a confirmation card within one week prior to the class.
- Please call 48 hours in advance if you are unable to attend.
CTAP classes are available to K-12 public school teachers with a $50 non refundable registration fee. How do I register?
*Visit our website at www.ctap8.org. Under "Training" choose "Workshops". Read "How to use the Online Catalog". Choose "Register for an upcoming class". Once you're in the registration system choose "Access the course catalog", Log In, "Create New Participant" and enter your information. After obtaining a User ID and Password, you can register for the desired class/es! You may register by using our Online Registration Form.
