Overview of Proficiency

    Include screen shots and/or examples from any two or more of the following examples. Write a narrative addressing how the examples meet the standard.
  • Threaded Discussions
  • Listservs
  • Online Chat
  • Audio/Video Conferencing

Possible examples to include in portfolio: Write a narrative describing the difference between threaded discussions, list servers and online chats. Include screen shots of threaded discussions you have been involved in and list servers you subscribe to. Discuss online chats you have participated in and note if they are allowed in your district.

  • Teachers.net -- 24 hour chatrooms and chatboards (discussions) for teachers and education issues. Also includes links to free lesson plans.
  • Wikipedia.org -- a unique teacher collaboration tool, Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia site where you and teachers from around the world can contribute articles.
  • Classroom Connect Lists -- Join a mailing list to get information on an educational topic of interest.
  • BlueWebN--A list serve that sends you 5 educational sites a week
  • Site of the School Day -- A list serv that sends you one educational website every day of the school year
