    Overview of the Proficiency

  • Connect and disconnect at least two peripherals and/or display devices.
  • Perform simple maintenance.
  • Install/load new software on computer and run successfully as district policy allows.


    Possible examples to include in portfolio:

  • From the following examples, write a narrative describing your computer use:
  • Discuss when you first started using a computer.
  • What kinds of computers do you have at home and/or school?
  • Have you ever had to disconnect and reconnect a computer?
  • Have you connected or disconnected peripherals for maintenance or installation? If so discuss what you did and why.
  • Have you loaded software onto a computer? What is the policy for loading programs in your district?
